friends we haven’t seen in a while

By | Personal | 2 Comments
i’m always excited to hang out with our friends that live here in atlanta, but it’s really special when a friend comes in from out of town- in this case 3 of them: suz, emily and michael. it’s definitly great to see all of them, but it’s also a great excuse for rounding everyone else up by saying things like ‘hey, they drove here from out of town, lets all get together.’ emily and michael drove all the way up from macon just for an evening of fun, unfortunatly, their new acura was a victim of a hit and run, lame. and not just a little scratch hit and run, but a ‘lets take a chunk out of this vehicle’ hit and run. sorry guys.
even still we were able to have a good time after some italian in the highlands and heading back to sean and erin’s place, our fantastic hosts. i can’t get over how fun nintendo wii can be. yes, it’s almost embarrassing to say, but we spent the rest of the night playing a video game- check out the intensity on emily’s face in the last picture…

it’s a big deal

hey guys, it’s matt. i figured it was about time for me to make an appearance so here i am. i almost don’t want to post more snow pictures, but it really is a big deal to get snow here in atlanta. in fact, it was snowing so much we could hardly get out and walk around without ruining our cameras, so we drove (i mean we could’ve walked, but there wouldn’t be any pictures and that’s what this blog is all about after all).

blizzard!

By | Personal | No Comments

i grew up in a small town outside of cleveland; you could say i lived in the actual buckle of the snow belt. my little brother and i would get excited when the snow was “higher than our hearts!”

today in atlanta, it’s snowing. though the snow is barely enough to cling to my hair i feel a new kinship with the city. of course i needed to document this milestone, so pulling out my camera i braced myself and opened a window to take some shots. (are you kidding me? did you really think i was going to go outside in that cold?) i snapped a few quick pictures, slowed down the shutter and snapped a few more. The slower shutter made it look more like a blizzard, more like my childhood, so i’ll share that one with you.

after shutting out the cold, offensive air, i logged into blogland looking for warmer clothing. i’ve officially decided i want a cowl scarf to wear with every outfit. i mean, don’t you!?

in our world of photography, we’re excited to welcome a new camera to our family! she (yes, “she”) came today and we are looking forward to getting to know each other this weekend! keep an eye here for her debut!
