Lisa & Sanil are Married!

By | Weddings | One Comment

Lisa & Sanil are two of the happiest, most vibrant people I’ve ever met. As a couple, they absolutely light up a room with their engaging smiles and heartfelt words. It is the most obvious thing in the world that they adore one another- just being around them gives you a lightness of heart. Their magnetic personalities draw others into their fun- which makes for a giant, wonderful wedding celebration! Lisa & Sanil began their wedding day with individual blessings from close family members- a sweet and intimate way to focus on what the day was all about. It was clear to me right away that they are very close with their families and in so may ways they honored them throughout their wedding day. This honor was beautifully reciprocated by their families as it was equally clear that everyone was deeply happy to see Lisa & Sanil begin their new life together- really, what a sweet day it was to capture so much connection and love.

Lisa and her sisters are very close- despite the many distractions around them they really focused and gave lisa so much time, attention and encouragement. What a sweet family!

It was so cute to see Lisa’s dad stealing glances to check on her as we traveled to the church. :)

I think it’s hard for most couples to really live in the moment during their wedding ceremony. There’s always so much going on, things happen quickly. But Lisa & Sanil really made a point of staying connected to one another and engaged in their ceremony- complete with a few laughs. :)

A light breeze is just so romantic. :)

Lisa & Sanil’s reception took place at The Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. Jade Lee decorated the space while Laura Potts coordinated their day.

Lisa & Sanil’s family put on the most wonderfully sweet/funny/awesome performance for them:

I love this next set of images- Sanil dancing with Lisa’s dad!

Lisa & Sanil, you are a beautiful couple- congratulations on your wedding! We wish you guys the very best!

margo & fabian are married!

margo and i went to school together. our major was small and rather obscure- people often mentioned they were unaware that jewelry and metalsmithing was a ‘real degree.’ love hearing that. ;) we studied under the same artists/teachers in high school and college and though she was a year ahead of me, i always knew margo as talented, funny and down to earth. her work was impeccably designed and crafted- incorporating beauty and wit and whimsy. and so it is no surprise to me that this stunning artist, who also happens to be an incredibly caring nurse, found her perfect match in fabian. :)

matt returned from margo & fabian’s wedding (he shot this one himself) with the highest praise for fabian. matt knew margo from hanging out with me in the studio and after just a day with fabian he kept saying what a perfect match these two are for one another. fabian is kind, attentive and hospitable. he always makes sure everyone around him is well cared for and comfortable. on their wedding day, fabian was intentional about double checking every detail ahead of time to ensure the day ran smoothly for margo and their guests. his thoughtfulness is lavished on margo and her obvious love for, and appreciation of, him was beautiful for me to see as i lived their wedding day through these images. we couldn’t be happier for them!

margo & fabian’s wedding took place at the beautiful westin poinsett in downtown greenville.

margo & fabian, congratulations! we are so happy for you two and feel so lucky to have captured your wedding day. you two are wonderful together and we wish you the very best!

allie & yuval are married!

allie & yuval met in paris while studying abroad. pause. can you even imagine?? they began their relationship in the most romantic city in the world, surrounded by the beauty that movies are, literally, made of, and now they’re married. i cannot think of a way this story could be more like a fairytale. and while there is sparkle and magic to their connection, they are also obviously, truly, best friends. they’re down to earth, funny and overflowing with love for one another and everyone around them. their wedding day was charged with energy and happiness that radiated from allie & yuval and brought everyone together in a beautiful celebration. matt & i felt so lucky to spend the day surrounded by an incredible group of people- capturing their love for one another and their happiness for allie & yuval. these two really are so, so special. some people radiate so much sunshine that, apparently, the actual sun doesn’t really feel the need to come out. while the rain clouds covered the city in a cool, grey blanket, allie & yuval prepared for their wedding. the rain plan was a go and we began portraits inside. and just like we expected after knowing them for only a little while, allie & yuval did not miss a beat. :)  plus, we found on own sun in the back staircase. ;) just before the ceremony started, allie & yuval traded letters they’d written to one another. they took their time reading them- pausing often to just look into one another’s eyes and share a sweet moment. they were calm but excited- and gloriously happy. :) one of allie & yuval’s many talented friends, jillian blazek, designed these adorable tumblers as well as their programs- which i looooved! allie & yuval’s friends, the shadowboxers, played at their wedding- what an incredibly talented group of guys!
allie & yuval, congratulations! we are so very happy for you two and thankful we were there to capture such a beautiful day. best wishes!
