rhonda & chris are married!

there’s something beautiful that happens when two people match as perfectly as rhonda & chris- when ideals, personalities and interests come together in ways that compliment both individuals and make them stronger. that is so obviously the case with these two. rhonda & chris are intentional, interested and thoughtful and it really radiated on their wedding day. they were constantly surrounded by family and friends who couldn’t have been happier for them. rhonda & chris planned the details of their day to delight their guests and share with them a little more about who they are as a couple- table numbers highlighted their love of the unique neighborhoods within atlanta, their location, the carter center, imparted their love of  supporting local establishments (they could walk from their apartment!), and their getaway car, the ramblin’ wreck, represented their allegiance to georgia tech- where they both graduated. it was an intimate and sweet day and we are so happy they chose matt to be there to capture it all. :)

the carter center is surrounded by some of the most beautiful gardens in the city- thankfully the rain held off long enough for matt to explore it a bit with rhonda & chris!

this is my favorite:

the ramblin’ wreck was a surprise for rhonda and she was so so excited when she saw it! what a thoughtful, perfect gift on her wedding day. :)

rhonda & chris, congratulations! we are so happy for you guys- you’re perfect together. :)

Laura & Mahesh’s Wedding at the Foundry Puritan Mill

I will be honest, I am a bit at a loss for where to start with Laura & Mahesh’s wedding day- there was just so much goodness all around all day! Sitting here reminiscing about their wedding day, what I remember most is just the overall vibrancy of every moment. It wasn’t just the colors and the events, it was the people. The deep joy in Laura & Mahesh was reflected in their friends and family who traveled from near and far to celebrate their wedding day. Though the day was longer than most (two full ceremonies!), the energy and fun only grew as the day progressed- culminating in a beautiful reception celebration full of fun and happiness and a touch of silliness.

Our day started with the finishing touches before their hindu ceremony. I love how involved family and friends are in hindu ceremonies- it really draws everyone in to the celebration.

Mahesh and his sweet mom, I really love this image.

After the ceremony ended, Laura & Mahesh disappeared to change for the Jewish ceremony while their guests lounged around their venue enjoying lunch, chatting in the courtyard and relaxing in the warm sun. It really was the most perfect early spring day.

By the time we arrived back at the venue, it had been transformed. One of laura’s very best friends officiated this ceremony and though it was short and sweet it was so heartfelt and warm.

These guys:

Laura & Mahesh, what a joy to celebrate with you and your friends and family- it was a beautiful day! Looking forward to running into you two soon! :)

laura & mahesh are engaged!

last sunday afternoon matt hopped on his bike and headed to laura & mahesh’s home for their engagement shoot. this may seem simple, but it was certainly a dream come true for matt! in case it isn’t blatantly obvious enough i’ll say it again: we LOVE our little corner of atlanta. we love the people, the small businesses, the community, the homes, the sidewalks- all of it. so whenever we get a chance to work with likeminded couples like laura & mahesh, it’s so exciting for us. the world feels smaller. our community feels closer. :) …and when we realized which home was their’s we couldn’t help but smile- it’s one of our very favorites. a beautiful 1920s duplex, renovated into a single home- so unique! we’ve always loved it and we’re so happy to now know the awesome couple who lives there. laura & mahesh are brilliant, fun and down to earth- what a treat to get to know our neighbors and do our job at the same time. can’t wait for the wedding…next weekend!

laura & mahesh, you two are awesome, can’t wait to celebrate your wedding in just a few short days! :)
