hannah & matt are married!

By | Weddings | 3 Comments

early early saturday morning i jumped in the car with hannah and her best friend and together we took off for the hair salon.  by the time i had buckled my seat-belt the car was full of laughter and i realized they were both giddy with excitement and running on total adrenaline.  having stayed up half the night just laughing (i get the impression there were few words, more just excited giggling:)), hannah was a little delirious more ready than ever to marry her man! ;)

having lived in separate states throughout their entire relationship, these two squeeze every ounce of enjoyment out of the times they are together.  so when hannah and matt opted for a ‘first look’ we knew it would be extra special!  their moment together before the craziness of the ceremony and reception was a sweet time for them to forget the details and focus on their incredible love for each other; it also gave us a chance to take some great couple shots.

their ceremony was short and sweet but with all of the love and hugs from their guests it took them quite a while to walk the short distance over to the reception!

it’s always fun to come home and combine our pictures and see what was happening in different places at the same time.  for example, we learned that when hannah called matt and got his voicemail matt was eating a biscuit (i hope that doesn’t put you in the doghouse matt!;)).  it’s also a treat when we capture the same moment from different angles, although the shots are usually similar, we always love seeing the unique details we captured:

a couple more:

on their way out, they made a quick exit!! :)

hannah and matt, thank you guys so much for allowing us to be part of your day. you guys are so evidently in crazy love with each other, congrats to you both on finding your perfect match!  i hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon!

we wanted to let everyone know rachel and zach’s wedding slideshow is up!

we definitely have been posting a ton the past week so if you haven’t checked out our top picks from rachel and zach’s rehearsal dinner and wedding (which was a 2-part post), then scroll down!

first of all i don’t want to be misleading anyone but this isn’t your usual sweet kate writing this morning but rather the very manly matt- could you tell? i’m kinda curious… the reason i get to talk with you this morning is because kate is busy preparing an incredible breakfast and brunch for after church- you guessed it, mothers are coming in town (in about 20 minutes!). we’re lucky enough to have kate’s family (count 3) plus grandmother and grandaddy (count 2) to visit us (count 2) here in buckhead! and i’m lucky enough to have a wife that knows how to cook, she doesn’t mess around:

for breakfast:

– squeezed orange juice
– blueberry almond coffee cake
– monkey bread
– strawberries and coffee

for brunch:

– orange cream mimosa’s w/candied orange zest
– bacon wrapped asparagus w/lemon chive cream
– shirred eggs w/parmesan and chive
– field greens w/cranberry vinaigrette and parmesan chips
– shaved hash browns
– mint iced tea

and if you know kate at all, you know that every one of those items are fresh or homemade, i’m not exaggerating at all either. with how much i enjoy food, it’s a good day to be me and definitely a good day to be a mother- i’m just not sure where we’re all going to sit in our little apartment (count 7)!

happy mothers day!

dinner and two skylines

ladies and gentleman! rachel and zach’s rehearsal dinner slideshow!

i’m full! matt and i actually just finished a late dinner on the roof of our building. we both really love it up there but i had to be talked into it tonight; we just have so much work to do! finally, after i made matt promise he wouldn’t take any pictures of me (a promise which he did, in fact, break. shocker!) i gave in and we grabbed dinner and the camera and headed up. matt was totally right (as usual ;)), it was really refreshing to take some time for ourselves. we’re simple people- for us it’s hard to beat cuddling, pizza, wine and a beautiful skyline. we only took a couple of shots and it was a little hazy but i wanted to share them with you guys, the city just looks so peaceful! we’re definitely lovers of mountains and oceans but we do enjoy a good skyline as well!

first, buckhead:

then, midtown:

sweet dreams all, we’ve got to grab some rest, before we know it it’ll be 6:30am and we’ll be in the car on the way to hannah and matt’s wedding! we’re excited!
