matt and i have gotten used to the darkness while editing all day.  we understand that we can’t see our screens as well with the blinds open so sitting inside while atlanta shines with glorious sunlight has really become ok with us (especially with the 100 degree weather recently, ugh!).  but today something is different.  i need to get outside during daylight hours.  today i feel like the sunlight will be the little pick me up we need to get back in here and really tackle some photos, so i’m keeping this short and we’re heading out!  catch you guys later! :)

update: as soon as we got to the pool…the storm hit…and it’s supposed to continue for the rest of the week.  c’est la vie!

lucy and grant’s rockin’ wedding has hit the gallery page!

we’ve joked before that it wasn’t our most rational decision to start a business right after we got hitched. we never really took the time to get our ducks in a row, so (to unnecessarily extend the metaphor) our ducks kinda had to fend for themselves – the exercising duck is still rather weak…

our little photo biz grew up so fast and immediately started trying to outrun us (maybe this is what having kids is like…sorta?), and as proud as we are, it takes serious work to keep up! being together all day every day we’ve learned a lot about give and take, picking our battles and communicating but we are nowhere near done learning. our clients sometimes laugh at us because we both see great light and end up tangled trying to get the same shot, like i said, we’re learning! i thought of this today because one of our past brides, leanne, sent us this ridiculous picture of us shooting together that one of her guests sent her. i cracked up when i saw it because it is the perfect picture to describe the past few months for us! thanks leanne!!

stasia & andrew are engaged!

stasia and andrew are unstoppable, and we love that about them!  we met them at a well hidden little park in roswell and from the second they stepped out of the car their energy and love was astounding.  they started off with a little football complete with tackles – they just don’t do things half way!  :)  we walked around the park for a bit and how they continued to look fabulous in the heat i have no idea, but i really am impressed!  (glistening would be an understatement for my condition!)  we finished off with a few sweet photos in a little field, just an all around green shoot, love it!  we’re really looking forward to their (no doubt amazing – deep red and goldenrod, yes please!) winter wedding!  here are a few of our favorite shots from the session:

this next image is a little different for us, two shots together, but stasia and i share a little obsession with this tree and i wanted to include it somehow!  for some reason this combo made sense to me…i may be alone, haha!
