2010 was a great year. fantastic, even! we met some of the most amazing people who were also incredible clients and we feel so blessed. over the last few weeks my google reader has been overflowing with year end recaps buuuut since it’s the 12th and we still haven’t done one let’s just pretend by scrolling up and down the blog really quickly. all together now!
phew!
but before we dive right into 2011, we are so excited to share with you our final wedding of 2010- leigh & ryan!
you may remember leigh & ryan from their early morning engagement shoot at berry college, where they blew us away with their natural style and charm. after that there was no doubt- their wedding was going to be most fabulous! and it was. starting with our first glimpse of the picturesque town of rome, ga:
when matt dropped me off to capture leigh and her best friends as they helped one another get ready, i was excited to meet a room of sweet, beautiful ladies- just like leigh! the atmosphere was relaxed and happy and the loft they were getting ready in provided a beautiful backdrop to the scene:
meanwhile, matt and the guys were downstairs taking a few portraits with ryan and the men:
we left for the church in time for leigh to finish getting ready there before her first look with ryan. once the dress came out of it’s packaging there was NO wiping the smile off of her face! she was just glowing with happiness and excitement as her friends helped her into her beautiful dress:
leigh & ryan had their first look outside the church in an intimate courtyard. capturing their joy at seeing one another after just a morning apart was so beautiful. they sort of…relaxed into one another- does that make sense? it’s like they are most themselves when they are together. they complement one another yet they are alike in so many ways- are you starting to get a picture of how happy the rest of their life is going to be!?
again, so classic! i love these next two shots:
the anticipation before the ceremony- everyone handles it differently! ryan’s chill and relaxed while his ring bearer is…punching himself in the face!?
leigh & ryan’s reception was held at the lovely forrest place, and the old world charm of the venue was perfect for their celebration!
*sidenote for single guys* if you were wondering where all of the beautiful ladies in your city are hiding, check your local school of dentristy. leigh met lots of her best friends there and come on, have you LOOKED through these pictures? but watch out, they’re all brilliant doctors! ;)
by the time leigh & ryan departed a misty rain had started to fall. i’m sure no one would ever hope for rain on a wedding day but for leigh & ryan it made their exit pictures look old hollywood romantic- i love them!

leigh & ryan, you guys are the best. thank you so so much for getting us all the way down to rome for your beautiful celebration! we wish you the very best!

Awesome job guys. Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with in 2011!
What an exciting snow day! You guys are simply amazing – we couldn’t be happier with all of our pictures! It was so fun to meet you two and spend time together on our special day. Thanks again!!!!!
Leigh- you look stunning! congrats!
Matt and Kate- I’m pretty sure you guys are now the official wedding photographers for KD’s from UGA. ;-)
Amazing photos! I absolutely adore the one of the flower girl dancing up a storm!! what a moment lol and the exit in the rain totally has a glam quality with the rainy little bokeh droplets. Just lovely :)
AH-mazing photos. I don’t think the wedding could have been captured more perfectly. My Leigh-Leigh was the most beautiful bride ever!
LOVE this wedding! Great job guys! The “melting into one another” pics are beautiful. But my favs are the ring bearer and the little girl dancing the night away…too precious! Way to catch such great memories…
SWEET!!!!! Love the last two shots…very hollywood :-)
These are all so beautiful! But my favourites are the dance floor photos! The little girl dancing, awesome!
All I’m saying is that the pictures of the kid punching himself in the face are priceless! Love your work ALTMIX!
