netflix love.

By October 20, 2008Personal

anna & ray, your wedding day was such a great celebration! i’m excited to post your slideshow!

___

it’s getting chilly out there. even in atlanta. we took yellow bike out last night and it felt like we were cycling through the freezer section at publix. which i’m never, ever, prepared for on grocery day. that is why there is no ice cream in this house. i refuse to walk down that aisle and subject myself to the torture. but anyway, it was just that cold outside last night.

for matt and me, this is the time of year for enjoying the outdoors but coming home to cuddle with a glass of red and a good movie. thanks to you, that is what sunday nights this fall will look like for us. thanks to all of you who, when we were considering it, left comments, emailed and messaged us glowing reviews of the joys of netflix. we love you. and netflix. it’s amazing and so are you.

for those of you out there not yet privy to the joy i speak of, we want you to experience it. netflix kindly sent us vouchers to give four of our friends (that’s you) for a free full month of movies and how perfect is it that you have to sign up before october 31st?! that means that as the weather turns officially into winter in the month of november you’ll have free movies galore to enjoy while the chilly air whistles outside. sound perfect? i think so. if you’re interested please drop a comment below or shoot us an email. we need to get these in the mail asap so waste no time!

also. matt and i seriously need movie ideas. we’re always overwhelmed on the netflix site and we would really really love it if you’d share with us a few good romantic comedies and action flix. although we must be careful with the latter, we can’t even watch 24 without matt demanding justice and speeding the next time he gets in the honda. thanks so much friends!

    definitely, maybe
until sunrise and until sunset – they were made 10 years apart but are so good if you are in the mood for a quiet movie with lots of dialogue.

will keep thinking of some more for you. i think that you share my love of august rush already, so i won’t suggest that one. matt and i need to get netflix – our promo-version of cable is ending next month!

i am totally obsessed with netflix. first of all, if you don’t watch “how i met your mother” netflix the first season, you will love it! i personally also love “becoming jane.” i saw a comment earlier about ps i love you. it was sweet, but i watched it with kingsley and she cried the whole time. i would have too, but we watched it the day before zach came home for leave… so nothing was bringing me down :)

hope ya’ll are doing awesome! miss ya’ll!

  • I agree, Netflix is the best! Roger and I normally don’t agree on movies – at all! But with Netflix, we made an agreement that whatever the other ‘rents’ the other has to watch. So every other Friday night I can look forward to my movie selections while the alternating weeks I dread opening up the Netflix envelope to see what he’s chosen. :-) Instead of recommending a movie you should rent, I’m going to recommend a movie to stay a way from. Roger’s most recent pick – Al Gore’s, The Inconvenient Truth. Now, I’m all for saving the environment, but talk about a snoozer. I think even Roger was ready for this one to be over. :)

  • i like dramas … here are a few old ones but good ones…
    the wings of the dove
    immortal beloved
    queen margot (la reine margot)
    girl with a pearl earring

and since all the movies above have romance here are some with a bit of action
    trainspotting
    3:10 to yuma

hope you enjoy! us busy people gotta love netflix! – katrina :)
