spring has arrived at our house! i spent a few hours yesterday replacing cinnamon sticks with dried lavender, and buying some small glass vases to hold the rosemary and sage sprigs i picked at an abandoned house a few streets over. we’re hoping to coax a few roots out and plant them in little pots on our window sill soon. the apartment smells sweet and fresh, complimenting the recent transformation brought on by the new painting. yes, that’s right! i did it! i took a quick shot of it to share with you:

as you might have picked up on by now, matt is the brain of this operation. :) my husband never ceases to amaze me with new computer tricks and gadgets. for a few months he’s been bugging me about something called google reader. i tend to brush off internet applications, especially when i already have a system, it works, and i understand it. in this case matt was particularly adamant it would change my life, so i finally gave it a shot. and now i’m obsessed. get google reader, it will change your life. enter the blogs you check and as soon as there’s a new post on any of them it alerts you! i love it, it saves tons of time, and it’s simple and easy. do it. thanks, babe!
in other news, matt and i are so excited to get back into the swing of shooting again after our two week break. we’re headed to augusta this weekend for a bridal session and to the beach next weekend for our first wedding of the season! We’ve got some engagement pics coming up too; with everything turning green and beautiful we cannot wait to get out and shoot!
one more thing, i have decided that taking immaculate care of my hands makes me feel more professional; any ideas for polish brands that don’t immediately chip off would be greatly appreciated! ;)
I love the new painting – you did a great job. You are obviously very artistic and multi-talented!
I agree with Google Reader – it is the best thing ever. I subscribe to 94 blogs (including yours) and there’s no way I would have time to keep up with all of them if I had to go to each individual blog.
I look forward to seeing pics from your upcoming events. Take care!
Michelle
love the painting!
the painting is really cool and as for nail polish try Essie http://www.essie.com/products/ .. it’s fabulous stuff that I can only find online down here. I’m obsessed so if you find it in a store in Atlanta you better tell me! Good luck with the first wedding of the season, cant wait to see the pix
Love it, too! :) Clearly only a “ditto” but very pretty. I like the use of circles and ovals – what a beautiful pattern like blend of organic, curvy shapes. I love it. Is it with gold paint? Or like a dark creme or light brown?
I miss creating so badly! I guess I will have to just paint myself some things for my office at work… yep, yep, I’m going to go with that one. New offices call for new exciting artwork!! :)
Thinking of you and WISHING it were easier to snag you as our photographer :)
Love

Stickey is the best nail polish ever. that is all.
I love Google Reader, too!
I totally have google reader now! YAY! P.S. Love the painting :)
thanks everyone!
margo- they only have essie in salons here, sounds like you need to make a trip to atl to get a manicure with me!
lia- i’m still looking for a place to buy sticky that’s not online, but after reading about it, i think i’m already hooked, thanks!
Kate! Yessss for keeping your hands manicured…you know how Nance feels about that…also, I love the painting! I miss you guys and want to come visit soon….it’s been too long! Seriously. We’ll make it happen.
I dono bout the products available at your country. But I find OPI products & services to be really durable! I’m an outdoor person but I still hv my pedicure & manicure done once a month or so. It’s a wonderful feeling to pamper yourself after a long hour of hard work. ;)
asther- thanks so much for the tip! i have seen opi around and will check it out asap, pampering sounds so great right now! :)
